Heat shrinkable tube, also known as heat shrinkable sleeve, is an insulating sleeve with high temperature shrinkage, soft flame retardant, insulation and corrosion prevention functions. It is widely used in wiring waterproof of electronic equipment and sealing and fixing of wire branches. How to heat the heat shrink tube. The following are several common heating methods and techniques for heat shrink tubes.
1、 Lighter:
We must use windproof lighters, that is, lighters that can't see the flickering open flame and use high-speed flame to light cigarettes. Use the disposable one to adjust the fire to the minimum and burn it directly. Keep away from the plastic film! It is difficult to control the temperature of the lighter. The key is that the lighter cannot be relied on in some places because of the angle problem.
2、 Electric hot air gun or electric hair dryer:
In the process of heating, it is necessary to heat from left to right or from right to left in one direction, or from the middle to both ends, to avoid air from staying in the heat shrinkable tube. After shrinking, the cable is tightly wrapped. It is not allowed to heat too close to the surface of the sleeve or concentrated at one place, otherwise the thickness of the sleeve will be uneven or the sleeve will be burned.
3、 Heat shrink tube heater:
With the advancement of the internationalization process of enterprises, the requirements for wire harness processing are increasingly high, that is, energy saving, high efficiency and less labor, and the processing quality of heat shrinkable tubes is required to have good consistency, good air tightness and other properties. In such an environment, a new product - heat shrink tube heater was born. The intelligent heat shrink tube heater does not need manual operation. Compared with traditional manual operation, it can save at least 2-4 people.
Precautions: (mainly for lighters and hot air guns)
1. The heat shrinkable tube should not be too close to the heating equipment. Attention must be paid to the distance between the fire and the heat shrinkable tube, i.e. 4 ~ 5cm evenly moving. During heat shrinkage, do not exceed the upper temperature limit of the heat shrinkable tube. For the heat shrinkable tube, if the temperature exceeds the upper temperature limit, our product will "melt" and return to the initial state.
2. Select appropriate heating tools. When heating and baking, the external flame of the flame forms a 45 degree angle with the surface of the heat shrinkable tube. Be sure to move back and forth to heat the heat shrinkable tube as a whole, slowly from one end to the other end. The heating should be uniform, avoid bubbles, ensure the shape of the heat shrinkable tube after contraction, and repair it after cooling.
3. Heat shrinkable tubes have different heat shrinkable ratios. The specification of heat shrinkable tubes generally refers to the product of the maximum allowable inner diameter and the shrinkage ratio after the casing is shrunk. For example, the shrinkage ratio of the heat shrinkable tube is 2:1, which means that the heat shrinkable tube that is twice the diameter of the product can be selected for use. For example, if the diameter of the covered object is 20mm, we can choose a heat shrinkable tube with a diameter of 40mm.
4. For linear objects such as wires, select the heat shrinkable sleeve size of the outer diameter of the product; Busbar heat shrinkable sleeve shall be selected for protection of power station, electrical cabinet and other busbar; Waterproof heat shrinkable pipe shall be selected for sealing.
